Most crypto price APIs use data provided by centralized exchanges. This data can’t be verified. Our data is derived almost entirely from chain data. In the rare cases when no chain data is available, i.e., exotic tokens for which no trading pools were created on decentralized exchanges (DEXes), we fall back on the Chainlink oracle. Because we return the protocol or protocols from which data was retrieved, you will always know where it came from.

All of our raw data is published via the Snowflake Marketplace, in two data sets:

  • core, and

  • smart contract (coming soon).

All computation takes place in models that are deployed on the Credmark platform. These models are public.

When possible – time permitting! – we publish technical blog posts explaining our computation. If, after looking at these sources, you still have questions, you can find developers and modelers in our Discord.
